Uitzicht Area Info
Uitzicht, Cape Town Northern, Suburbs

The Dutch name Uitzicht means "view".
Situated on the Southern Side of Graanendal and Groot Phesantekraal Estate.
Positioned to the North of Pinehurst.
There are +- 3500 adults staying in the area in +-1500 free-standing homes and 505 apartments.
Owners of the above properties fall into the LSM(Living Standards Measure) 10 low category. Meaning that the above group is mainly in professional and technical, clerical and sales, administrative and managerial professions.

Being on the border of Durbanville and on the West of Okavango Road, most people see the area as part of the bigger Durbanville area although it falls under the Kraaifontein municipal area.
Property prices have increased significantly due to more modern architecture and elevated building costs. Which shows the popularity of the area. Vacant stands in Uitzicht are very scarce. If you can find one, it should be an excellent investment over time.
Most of the recent buyers were between 36 - 49 years old, mimicking the trend in the general property market that 1st time home buyers are the highest percentage of buyers in the market, at the moment.

Team Pieter Kotze @ RE/MAX Property Associates is one of the dominant Real Estate Agents in Uitzicht.
The other reason Uitzicht is so popular is the tranquility which reflects a sense of community and family. For that reason, there are several schools in proximity: Curro Meridian, Curro Primary School, Curro High School (under construction), Curro University and many schools close by in Durbanville.

The large, lush park network throughout the area makes Uitzicht the ideal suburb for dog lovers to take their canine friends for an afternoon and/or morning walk. Instead of an enclosed dog park, the animals can run free. Even a dam and waterfall for the breeds who love swimming.

Being on the outskirts of Durbanville by no means indicates the suburb is remote, quite the contrary, the suburb is very much in a prime location: Easy access to Okavango Road and N1, Klipheuwel Road, Brackenfell Boulevard, etc.

The suburb has a 24-hour security estate called Uitzicht Estate. House prices in Uitzicht Estate are a notch higher than outside the Estate, due to the popularity of Estates in Cape Town.

There are a wide variety of malls catering for retail and entertainment needs of residents such as: Cobble Walk Shopping Centre, Graanendal Shopping Centre, Okavango Crossing, Pinehurst Centre and Cape Gate Mall to mention a few. Day to day shopping can be done at the Uitzicht Spar, Checkers and there is a Caltex petrol station in the area.
